from library programs Science in the Summer Sign up your kids now! This year's Science in the Summer program will teach kids about chemistry. Your children will learn about, and observe, physical and chemical changes. They will watch raisins and popcorn dance, see pennies turn to gold, and make crystals! Don't miss out on the fun! Science in the Summer is a free science education program sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline. It takes place in the afternoon during the week of July 13th. Registration is required! Two sessions are available: the first session is for Level 1 and is held between 2 and 2:45PM. The second session is for Level II and is held from 3:15 to 4:00PM. Level I is aimed for children entering grades 2-3. Level II is aimed for children entering grades 4-6. Classes are small at only 15 students each! Parents who are interested may enter their children in a lottery between June 1st and June 13th. Simply drop by the library and give your name, the names of your children, the level you are interested in, and your phone number. All parents will be notified by June 29th. The last day to sign up is Saturday, June 13th. We will be offering a wait list in case there are any last minute cancellations! More information can be found on http://www.scienceinthesummer.com. If you have any additional questions, please call the Perkiomen Valley Library at 610-287-8360 or Montgomery County Norristown Public Library at 610-278-5100, extension 131.
